Charles Street Video Production Credits
Members must acknowledge our facility in the credits of productions using CSV equipment. For example: "Post-production: Charles Street Video". If in doubt regarding wording, please contact the office.

Copyright Policy
Members are responsible for copyright clearances on all visual and sound elements to be used in their production. Members and non-members agree to hold CSV harmless and indemnify it against any actions which may arise as a result of their use of copyrighted materials. Please note that you may copy and use files from our in-house library of sound effects for your production without having to pay royalties, so long as the CD or CDs containing the effects are not removed from our facility.

Videography
The arts councils that provide CSV with its annual operating funding require the organization to submit lists of productions made with its help. We therefore ask members to file a completed CSV Videography Form with the office so that we may add the title of their production to our database.

Member Meetings
CSV calls annual general meetings of its members to elect directors, receive the audited financial statements and allow members to discuss and raise their concerns and opinions regarding the running of the organization. Periodically, we may call other member meetings to discuss specific issues or concerns and to draw upon the membership's expertise or interest in new technologies, operating procedures or future projects. Members are responsible for attending these meetings to aid in the democratic process and to ensure that we meet our legal requirements for operating as a member-based organization.

Etiquette
Please bear in mind that several members are often working on different projects in different editing rooms at the same time. We therefore need to respect each other's right to work in as quiet an environment as possible. In general, a closed door to an editing room means "Do Not Disturb". Insofar as possible, please do not interrupt other users during their editing sessions. Please respect the right of the staff members to their private lives and restrict your telephone calls to reasonable time periods.

Miscellaneous
CSV is a smoke-free environment. You must go outside to smoke.

In case of fire, chemical fire extinguishers are available throughout the facility.

There is no parking lot at Charles Street Video. Bellwoods Avenue is a residential street with one-hour, curbside parking before midnight.
